Skill Building, enterprise promotion for employment generation for unemployed poor women and men folk through ministry of MSME, EDII, MEPMA AP, NABARD and EEJP and trained 6400 unemployed women and youth which including street vendors, migrant people, informal workers, MSM and Transgenders on various trades like eco-friendly jute bags, cotton bags with screen printing, artificial jewellery, doop stick with cow dung product, millet snacks, de hydration of fruits and vegetables, Sanitary Napkin with banana fiber Fashion Design and Tailoring and trained 280 women, nursery and green house cultivation and Palm Jaggery ongoing projects in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state and ensured self-employment, promotion of group enterprise and placement for 70% targeted beneficiaries in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state in India.
HIV/AIDS Preventive Target Intervention which support from Andhra Pradesh AIDS Control Society Working with Man Sex with Man (MSM) community and Transgender (TGs) total 2798 MSM and TGs 174, private institutions and other NGO`s to increase the awareness campaign on the preventive measures on HIV/AIDS and other diseases. The GFFD advocates the availability of high-quality care and treatment for people with HIV/AIDS and other diseases, lower the costs of essential tests and treatments, and strengthen health systems in the rural communities. In areas where GFFD operates, provides food, care, counselling and hope to those living with HIV/AIDS. It carries out preventive measures and awareness campaigns to various age groups in Andhra Pradesh state.
Education and Digital Literacy: GFFD aimed at providing quality education and digital literacy to the needy people to enhance online transactions through systematic and HI technology infrastructure for which prepared separate modules to government school children (4600) to introduce basic computer knowledge, another module prepared for rural women and men (4750) for online banking transactions, separate module for unemployed youth (4800) to improve their soft skills curriculum development and facing interviews. This project supported by EDII, HP, Andhra Pradesh State Government.
GFFD working with farming community since 2006. Major focus is creating awareness, practicing non-pesticide management-NPM and promoting common interest groups-CIGs. Facilitating capital formation process for agriculture inputs through banks. The project funded by ITC and implementing in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh state. Empowered 5000 farmers, ensured casuarinas and Eucalyptus plants cultivation in 4500 hectors. Key accomplishments are, mobilized potential farmers, promoted farmer groups and CBOs, enhanced capacities, on social forestry program. GFFD providing hand holding support and developed linkages between farmers and ITC for sustainability. A part of that promoted livelihood, health, and education among farmers and total 2832 farmers benefited.
GFFD working on E-Waste, Bio Medical Waste, Lead in batteries, Lead in paints, Chemical and Pesticides aspects in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state. Major projects completed and ongoing are Clean E-India Initiative project supported by IFC a wing of The World Bank in Hyderabad with the objective of consumer level awareness generation and formalization process of e-waste segment and ensure responsible recycling process of e-waste. Key focus is on generating awareness in schools and household level to collect electronics goods and covered 350000 households and 450 schools and generated e-waste and supported for recycling of the e-waste. Bio Medical Waste management program in collaboration with WHO and AP Health Department and trained 500 doctors 850 nurses and 650 ward boys and BMW carried sweeper with the support form Toxics Links New Delhi and also partner NGO of IPEN network
GFFD started empowering differently able people since 2008 with the support of the Mission For Elimination of Poverty in municipal areas-MEPMA. Main objective of the program is, formation of disabled SHGs and formed total 1100 differently able persons in urban slums and promoted micro and household enterprises.
GFFD, implemented disaster restoration activities since 2009. The project impact study was funded by OXFAM India trust and covered Krishna and Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh state.
WASH; GFFD is a core team member of FANSA network and playing active role in FANSA and UNICEF initiated WATSAN program in Schools acted as resource agency for implementing WASH program in Krishna District. Constructed 150 Toilets with the support from Tata trust. Provided handholding support to 425 beneficiaries for construction of toilets and water facility in 10 Villages in Krishna district.
Working with street vendors informal workers, migrants, rikshaw pullers with support from MEPMA (NULM), IGSSS and Toxics Link in AP for their rights, social entitlements, shelters and for their socio economic development in sustainable manner in Andhra Pradesh.
