Agriculture-Social Forestry Programme Supported By- MSK- India Tobacco Company-ITC.

  • GFFD working with farmer community since 2006 and major focus is creating awareness and practicing Non Pesticide Management practices and promoting farmers committees as CIGs and facilitating capital formation process for agriculture inputs through banks and capacity building institutions successfully
  • With this experience ITC- has given opportunity to GFFD to implement the ITC- Social Forestry Programme in Krishna District since 2013 year and working with 5000 farmers and ensured casuarinas and Eucalyptus plants cultivation in 4500 hectors with small and medium farmers in Krishna district. Formers mobilization, formation of farmers groups and CBOs, capacity building of farmers on social forestry programme and providing hand holding support for establishment of
  • Linkages between farmers and ITC for sustainability is the key focus areas in this programme. Other core components in the project is livelihood promotion, health and education support to the farmers family members


Case Study Rag Picking Women Got Livelihood Opportunity in Government Sector

S.Malleeswari, who is a rag picker earlier. Her husband died. She has two children. When she was in troubles Guide Foundation For Development joined her in Gardeners training course for livelihood promotion in collaboration with Municipal Administration and Urban Development and MEPMA-Andhra Pradesh Urban Greening and Beautification Corporation Ltd. She undergone training for one month on various methods in beautifying the gardens. She stood in third place while awarding certificates. She was given employment in the same department where she has undergone training. Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh also appreciated her on the occasion of World Women’s Day i.e. 8th March 2018.

Prevention of HIV/AIDS Programme

  • Implementing HIV/AIDS preventive programme three mandal in Krishna district i.e. Vijayawada, Machilipatnam and Gudivada there are 1467 MSM community members are benefitted through this programme with support from HLFPPT up to March 2012 and from April 2012 Andhra Pradesh Aids Control Society (APSACS) is supporting for this project.
  • Ensuring health care services and BCC to the community like distribution of 80000 condoms per month approximately and HIV testing and ensuring ART medicines and nutrition support.


  • GFFD is a core team member of FANSA network and playing active role in FANSA and UNICEF initiated WATSAN programmes in Schools acted as resource agency for implementing WASH programme in Krishna District and supported district rural water mission for development of district plan.
  • Constructed 150 Toilets support from Tata trust
  • Handholding support to 425 beneficiaries for construction of toilets and water facility in 10 Villages in Krishna, 5 villages in West Godavari districts
  • Conducted study on impact of adopters and no-adopters of government constructed toilets in 20 villages for UNICEF
  • Trained 350 youth on life cycle skills and employment generation programmes with support from District Youth Welfare office Krishna District

Education – Joyful Learning

  • Started 3 worksite schools with support by Rajeev Vidya Mission (SSA) Krishna district
  • Implemented 2 Special Education Centers (STC) for school dropout children. Providing lodging and boarding and Joyful learning facilities to 100 children with support from Rajeev Vidya Mission(SSA)
  • Played key role in identification of migrant children in Krishna district with support from Aide Et Action
  • Identification of abounded children in Vijayawada slums with guidance from Rajeev Vidya Mission Krishna district


Clean E-India Initiative project supported by IFC &Attero in Hyderabad with the objective of consumer level awareness generation and formalization process of e-waste segment and ensure responsible recycling process of e-waste.
About Clean E-India Initiative:
Clean E-India Initiative has started in the month of 12th June 2013 and it continue d till June 2015 with the help of International finance corporation (IFC) one of the wing of the world bank and in collaboration with Attero, Electronic Asset management Company located at Roorke .GFFD has identified total 8 franchisees and 200 LMCs in Hyderabad –Andhra Pradesh and involved in generating awareness in schools and household level to collect electronics goods. And followed to that GFFD continuing the work on e-waste awareness generation in schools and RWAs.

Disabled Empowerment

GFFD started working with the empowerment of differently able people since 2008. To begin with this activity Mission For Elimination of Poverty MEPMA supported to GFFD. This programme initiated in Pedana and Vijayawada. There are 2100 differently able that are organized and formed as SHGs Slum level and city level CBOS. A total of 210 SHGs and 2 City level federations formed and supported them for regularization of savings, bank linkages and registration and conducted skill building trainings and encouraged them for starting Income Generation Activity. There are 45 differently able started IGA and secured monthly income Rs3000 to 4000 per month.


  • Guide Foundation For Development chief functionary worked in CARE India as team leader for disaster preparedness and restoration programme in Andaman And Nicobar Islands –Tsunami time. And played key role in strategy building, budgeting and implementation process.
  • Guide Foundation associated with district administration of Krishna district and implemented disaster restoration activities in Krishna district in the year 2009 and continuing CBDP programme during the disaster crises.
  • Involved in OXFORM CBDP studies in Krishna, Praksham districts and Save the children projects evaluation in AP and Raichur in Karnataka state.
  • Various contingency plans prepared by using PRA tools and promoted CBOs for disaster preparedness activities in Krishna district. Prepared a session plan for 6th to 8th school students for government of AP. 



GFFD running 3 shelter in Vijayawada with the support of Municipal Administration and DAY-NULM and providing 150 homeless every day.

Case Studies

Nalla Venkata Swamy

Venkata Swamy is native of Rajahmundry. He is 45 years old. He is a daily labourer. He has wife and two girl children. He has loo after his parents also. So he has to earn more money to feed all of them. He comes Vijayawada and stays for seven to ten days and goes his native place and lives with his family very happily He says that shelter is oasis in desert and very useful to him and he is thanking MEPMA and Guide Foundation.

Kamumalla Ramesh

Ramesh 21 years old native of Vijayanagaram and unmarried. His parents are very old and sick persons. He comes to Vijayawada and works for 10 to 15 days and goes to his native town. He and his parents are expressing their heartful thanks to MEPMA and Guide Foundation For development for providing shelter for him in vijayawada

Nallamothu Venkatesh

Venkatesh is native of Vinukonda. He is 25 years old. He studied upto 8th class. He looks after his parents. He is a painter and once in a monthly he comes sheltere and stays for one week and going for daily wage construction work and earns for his family daily bread and butter. He says that shelter is very useful to him and he is thanking MEPMA and Guide Foundation For Development.
